Powered retractable pit ladders that extend 36" from the hoistway wall

Reduce pit access hazard when there’s too large a distance from the cab entrance to the hoistway wall:
- Center-opening doors
- Side-opening doors when not feasible to mount ladder on
strike side wall
Solves 39” maximum ladder-to-door lock-release code requirement A17.1/B44 rule 2.2.4.6(c).
Don’t reach unsafe distance to the ladder, typ. +2½ feet.
Ladder comes to you with the turn of a key.
6½” clear retracted, 36” rung-to-wall extended.
4' (#PRL48) thru 13' (#PRL156) pit depths and 16" & 12" wide rungs. Full Rung Top option available.
Option A: standard access key raises car, then extends ladder automatically.
Option B: dedicated switch extends ladder after car is raised.
UL Labeled 1000 lbf actuator & IP67 (NEMA 4X) electrical device.
ASME A17.1/CSA B44 compliant.
