Introducing the SmartLadder™ from Smart Elevator Tech, LLC. Non-retractable pit ladder to meet new A17.1-2022/CSA B44:22 safety requirements.
Removes power from elevator motor and brake when more than 9 kg (20 lb) is applied to any rung of the ladder:
- Per code interpretation, all weight above 9 kg (20 lb) – that is 9.5 kg (21 lb), the next measurable weight – must remove power, and power may also be removed at lower weights.
Two Ladder Electrical Device options with Normally Closed (NC) contacts, positively opened mechanically:
- Latching Switch, Manual Reset (default) – switch removes power until manually reset; protects while on the ladder and working in pit (not available for seismic installations).
- Momentary Switch – switch removes power only when person is on the ladder, no protection while working in pit.
The new SmartLadder™, SmartGate Ladder™ and our market-leading Retracta Ladder® all meet or exceed new 2022 Code requirements.
Includes Full Rung Top section for 4’ above sill.
Traction Tread™ rungs are 16" wide, per code.
Ladders available for 4' thru 13' pit depths.
Combine Retracta Ladder® above and SmartLadder™
below where extra deep retractable ladders are required.
Right Hand provided, easily field reversible.
Includes removable weights if needed for rebalancing.
